Your Maternity Bra

As your body changes throughout pregnancy, being fitted regularly is essential for your comfort and well being.

A good maternity bra should...
- give you a natural shape
- be firm, yet comfy (on the tightest hooks)
- support your breasts and help keep them in shape (reducing the chance of those dreaded stretch marks!)

So, come in to get fitted from around 12 weeks for the perfect fit.

PS: Choose the right fabric! Microfibre is excellent: light, silky soft and ultra-absorbant.

Did you know?
On average, breasts increase about 2 cup sizes and 2 back sizes over pregnancy as the rib cage expands to allow space for the baby!

Your Nursing Bra

Your body keeps changing, even after baby arrives so we recommend a first nursing bra fitting at about 36 weeks. That way you'll have at least one bra when the baby arrives!

A good nursing bra should...
- allow for at least 1 cup's worth of space for growth, without ribbing under the arms ( too tight and it can block the milk ducts)
- be comfy on the the loosest hook so you can tighten it as your ribcage shrinks back
- keep its bounce! If it's loose with wash and wear, it's not doing its job!

Check in at 3 months, as you may need to be refitted as the swelling lessens.

PS: Use a night bra for feeding (especially for larger cup sizes) and keep breast pads in place at night. It is when your breasts expand most.

Did you know?
On average a nursing bra will be 2 cup sizes bigger than the pre-pregnancy size, eg 36A => 36C.
